Zack Snyder revealed the trailer at DC FanDome. He also revealed there will be two ways to watch his cut of Justice League on HBO Max. First, it will be released in four one-hour long installments. Then in the months to follow, viewers will be given the option to watch it as one four-hour long movie.

For those living outside the United States, who do not have access to HBO Max, you’ll be pleased to know distribution deals are being negotiated with various streaming platforms and networks to screen the film.

There’s still no firm release date; we just know it’s coming some time in 2021.

Will the Snyder Cut be an improvement on Joss Whedon’s theatrical release? And if successful, will the film spawn more DC adventures from Snyder? Will Ray Fisher get his own Cyborg film? Will the Batfleck get his own television series or standalone film? These questions have suddenly become possibilities again.

When HBO Max announced the Snyder Cut was coming to their platform the future direction of the DCEU became uncertain. No one knows for sure if Snyder’s film won’t become canon and replace Whedon’s version, because no one thought Snyder would ever get to release his cut of the film to begin with.

Never underestimate the power of the fan base and of a director dedicated to his vision. Still, we’ll have to wait until the mini-series/film is released in 2021 before we know more.
