James Gunn Releases New Logos For ‘The Suicide Squad’
James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is giving DC’s misfit band of antiheroes a make-over. Part of that new look, is the film’s new titles. On Wednesday, Gunn took to Twitter to share the new titles in multiple languages. With Fandome just weeks away, it’s nice to see some new reveals.
The release of the new logo coincided with the director’s birthday. “#TheSuicideSquad team just got me these amazing new official title treatments for my birthday,” said Gunn. “And the cast and I have so much more to show you guys on Aug 22 at DCFanDome.com. See you there!”

The logos recall the Ostrander comic run of The Suicide Squad, which Gunn clearly stated were his inspiration for the film.
The Suicide Squad will reunite Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) from the first film. New faces joining them are Idris Elba, Taika Waititi, John Cena (Peacemaker), Peter Capaldi, David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, and Pete Davidson.
The Suicide Squad lands in theaters on Aug. 6, 2021.
