Where Does He Find The Time? Steven Soderbergh’s Watchlist for 2019

Want to know the keys to being great? Knowledge. It’s an old adage. And one we all know. But how many of us actually actively pursue learning. While great leaders and businessmen such as Bill Gates continue to inform us on the virtues of reading, by routinely sharing the books they’re reading, Steven Soderbergh publishes a list of all the media he’s consumed. It stands to reason that the eclectic filmmaker responsible for delving into a diverse range of subjects in his movies, would also have an wide-range of media he consumes annually.

Where he gets the time is beyond me, having directed High Flying Bird and The Laundromat in 2019.

Taking a quick appraisal of his list, one can see he binged dramas such as Billions and Mindhunter, and comedies like Fleabag and PEN15.

He continued to watch a healthy amount of classics such as Sunset Boulevard, Apocalypse Now, All the President’s Men. But this year he viewed a lot of recent releases from 2019 (which is uncharacteristic of him) like Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time… in Hollywood, Marriage Story, Knives Out, The Lighthouse, Us, The Irishmen etc.

Check out his full list below which comes via his official website.
